Hi there,

In Datameer 6.1.20.1, the below feature has been fixed,

[DAP-31593] - Handle escaped HTML reserved characters for advanced filter expressions

I have been asked to test this feature to see if it works as expected. Since I am new to datameer, I am wondering how can i achieve it.

Could you please explain this with an example?

Thanks,

Jee

    Hi Jee,

This bug was not in 6.1.10.3.  It started in 6.1.16, and was fixed in 6.1.19.1.

So it's expected that your results are as shown.

    Jee,

Have a column with a numeric value such as a count.

Select the column and then click on the Filter button.  The filter button looks like a funnel.

On the filter dialog select the Advanced tab.

    Type in #ColumnName > somevalue.  My test I did #Count > 6.

Save your filter and close the Filter dialog.

Now, re-open the filter dialog and go to advanced.  The bug was that the > sign would be escaped to >.  The corrected behavior is that it will show >.

    Hi Alan,

Thanks for your support. I followed your steps. I tested on both Datameer versions (  6.1.10.3and 6.1.20.1). I  didn't find any changes between the filters as you said.

    Results from Version 6.1.10.3

    Results from Version 6.1.20.1:
