Infographic not saving and showing past iterations on some computers

Working with an Infographic. Opening from a laptop shows an older version of the Infographic (using 2 browsers-Chrome (latest) and a fresh install of Firefox). All historical data, cookies, etc. has been wiped, and this occurs even when viewing Incognito!

Tried Duplicating the Infographic on my other machine (showing the *correct* Infographic version) and the duplicate is of the OLDER version.

Attempted Save As... and it will not allow me to save (pressing the Save As... button does nothing).

"Save" produces no dialogue.

Please advise! I really don't want to have to re-create this thing!

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with keeping an Infographic up to date. The expected behavior should be that the latest version is available on all other sessions almost instantly.

What version of Datameer are you working with? Do you have access to the logs from the Datameer Server? If so, I'd recommend inspecting the <INSTALLDIR>/logs/conductor.log file around the time that you're editing the Infographic. I wonder if there is a hidden error in the logs preventing the changes you're creating locally from saving to the server, the log would be able to confirm if so.

One other idea comes to mind based on your description of the Save and Save As buttons triggering no actions. Perhaps there is an error with the session that is editing the Infographic (either an error on the page in the browser or perhaps the session was idle and got logged out on the server). Again, the conductor.log file should help determine the underlying cause.

    Thanks Joel,

    I'm using Datamer 6.1.22.

Unfortunately, I do not have access to any of the logs, so I cannot tell if there are any errors happening that I'm not alerted to.

I've been away for a couple of days and everything is still as it was. I need to present this Tuesday, so I'm getting a bit worried. I can always re-create this, but since I have no idea what is causing the issue, I can't rely on the graphic displaying the correct version when I need it!

    Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the confirmation about the version Collin, there are not any known issues matching the symptoms you described with that version. I'd recommend following up with the Datameer Administrator to track down the logs so that the root cause may be identified.

If that's not possible, I certainly would recommend trying to rebuild the Infographic. However, I share your hesitation that if nothing is changed in the environment that the same issue may recur. Based on this, the best option goes back to troubleshooting further with an Administrator that can access the server logs during the time that the issue is occurring to monitor for any errors or exceptions.

    Thank you Joel.

A rebuilding I will go! This time I will do it on my laptop, hoping that it sticks. Since I built the original Infographic on my desktop (and it is still correct there...which is really strange!), I'm hoping the same strange holds true for my rebuilding on the laptop.
